For "objective", you might as well aim high: either executive assistant or office manager. Find out what the title of the top person is where you apply, and use that, i.e. "I want to be chairman of the board, and I'd like to start by being the assistant."

Don't put one at all. What if it doesn't match up to the job description they have open? Instead, use the space you save to elaborate on your work experience.

Objective: To please my superior, in whatever way possible.
The above should get you quite a number of interviews! ;-)

your objective should always be specific for the job you are applying for
the rest of it... your schools, former jobs, etc. can stay.
it depends on the type of job you are applying for. when you write it, try to be specific about the job you are applying for but also broad enough so that they will see you can do many things.
example, this is what i wrote for the objective on my last resume:
(the job was activities person in a nursing home)
Objective: To engage in an interactive needs- specific activity program for seniors in a long term care facility in order to promote their self -awareness, cognitive growth, and joy of life.
never use the first person when writing a resume and try to use as many empowering adjectives as possible. try the thesaurus.
good luck

put both cuz in a sense its two different things. A receptionist mostly answers the phone and takes down messages. a office assistant can do alot of things.

I've always put this in:
"Enter position here" searching for an advanced firm that will match my skills & passion with opportunities to learn & progress in this profession.
It is non-specific to any company or job description while demonstrating that you are a professional. Save the specific goals and skill sets for the cover letter and/or interview.
