How much does a part time registered nurse make?

I want to become a registered nurse and was originally planning on working full time. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much they make part time? I was hoping to do maybe 3 days a week at 8 or 12 hour shifts. Thanks!

A lot of times for nurses a schedule of 3-12 hour shifts is considered full time.

It would depend on where she worked, state, department, doctors office. years of experience. after 12 years my wife made 30 an hour

Well in North Carolina the starting nurse pay is $18 and most nurses that I work with do work 3 twelve hour shifts. The shifts are also self-scheduling. There is a shift differential if you work after 3pm. Part time nurses have the same hourly rate but if you were to work PRN or flex you get paid more. The downside to that is that you have no benefits and you have no home department. You get moved wherever you are needed. Hope this helps!!
