My first question would be, "why do you have a problem selling the products?" If there is an objection you have to the products yourself, then chances are this might not be the best career option for you. I personally find it difficult to sell a product that I do not believe in. In which case, I would either not sell it, OR I would think about using the product. How would this product be useful to me in my everyday life. What are the benefits of using this product. How can using this product improve my personal life on an emotional level. Let's say the bank offers an unsecured line of credit. I like to write checks and sometimes I get a little out of hand and I bounce a few...This line of credit can allow me to be more free (no pun intended) with my money for just a few dollars a month. OR if times get really hard, car breaks down, electric bill skyrockets (coming on summertime) dog gets sick, spring for a new mountain bike, whatever--That additional money will be there. The added benefit is that the bank is online, so I can go in and transfer the money for the payment, and save the $.40 for the stamp. Oh, also, if I don't bounce a check, I just saved $35 that the bank would charge me and another $35 from the retailer that tried to cash it. I can go on vacation, blah, blah, blah...The key in sales though, is not to wait til the end of the month to start selling. Success in sales comes from talking less and listening more. Listen to your clients. Chances are they or their surroundings are giving you buying signals. Do you hear kids screaming in the background, dog barking, whatever. If you talk and listen to your client, you will start to pick up on the buying signals, and even more so, you will develop a rapport with them as well, which will help your chances of helping make their life better, and your own at the same time. Always ask for the business. People are not going to come out and tell you what they need because that shows weakness, (at least in most cases.) Good luck with it!

Try to get past your apprehension and force yourself to attempt a sale with every customer you help.
I always enjoyed giving a sales pitch to irate customers. It shuts them up really quick and makes them go away. ;0)

Try incorporating the sales pitch in to your regular conversation and instead of making it a "pitch" make it helpful advice. For example, when a customer says something like - "I'm good thanks, but I hate bringing these checks in for deposit everyday" it's your cue to say "Well with our business premium package we give you a free telecheck machine and you can deposit your checks from home, if you like I can give you some free info."
Once you are able to do this, which should be easy because you should think of it as actually helping people, not selling to them then you can bring up your sales pitch on less related topics. Then when someone says "Nice day isn't it?" you can say "Want to upgrade to our business premium package?" ... not exactly, but you get the point.

Don't know if this will help, but read up on the "Laws of Attraction". I'm not selling anything on a Sales Post, but the Laws of Attraction is simply very effective in understanding and getting past problems. What it basically says is how you can materialize you desires. It doesn't work for everything, but it should give you a real skill boost on your sales job.
I wish you the best of luck.

the easiest way to get comfortable selling is being knowledgeable about what you are selling. if you are confident in answering any question the customer might have, then you have the tools to sell.
then all you have to do is be truly helpful, try to find out which product suits your customer best. if it's only one product, say like you are selling the bank's credit card then know everything that will be beneficial to your customer.
say if they get 0% APR their first year, that's great, but also show them what works for them in the long run like points they might earn etc..
sometimes people think they don't want something just because they know don't all the attributes, just let them know what they are. and good luck !!
