Is someone a secretary of a school or the Principals personal secretary?
Asked by Dorothy S
Just in general, if there was a secretary at an elementary school, who worked in the front office, handled the phones, signed kids in and out, etc., would this person be secretary of the school OR the Principals personal secretary (example: the principal makes a list of things "to do" and gives it to the secretary.) Just curious what your opinion would be.

That person would be the school secretary. Many schools also have an administrative assistant or executive assistant to the principal. This person would handle tasks for the principal and/or act on behalf of the principal when required. There are schools where both of these jobs are handled by the same person, but where I am from that is rare.
