How much notice should I give before leaving a retail position?
Asked by novellaidea
I have been working with my current retail employer full time since the end of March. I am in the process of accepting a teaching position in a foreign country and intend for my last day of work to be sometime mid-June. I'm planning on giving my employer two weeks' notice. How does that sound?

Best Answer:
You should always give at least a 2 week notice, unless otherwise stated in a contract that you might have. A 2 week notice is just work etiquette. So I would say you are doing the right thing.

A:
At least half an hour. Retailers are used to high turnover.
