What is the dress code for a clerical position at a law office?

I have been out of the job market for a while. Just wondering if I would need to be in a suit every day, or would a nice skirt or pants and blouse be OK? Thanks.

The women at our office wear skirts and blouses - sometimes skirt suits, if a big important client is coming that day. Pants are reserved for Fridays - "dress down days". Don't wear "pants" to an interview at a law office - you'll need to dress conservatively. Wear pants only if you do not want to advance professionally. Are you aware that the field of Law is a shrinking, crumbling vocational field? I wouldn't invest any time and/or money into this field. Suggestion: Do a SEARCH here on Yahoo Answers to see what posters are saying about the current status of the field of Law.

Dress to impress. This is advice for any job you take. But a legal place of service is the place for conservatism. Take a matching jacket with you just in case. Always dress better than your boss. Go to overstock.com and even goodwill has designer items.
