In 1938, James D. Robinson conceived the idea of an Automatic Chlorination System. Simply put, equipment installed in customer accounts would automatically dispense a proper amount of chemical sanitizer into rinse water. Later that same year the automatic chlorination system became Auto-Chlor System, founded in Memphis, Tennessee.   In 1939, James D. Robinson patented his Automatic Chlorination device and set out to revolutionize warewashing and sanitation methods. In 1944, Auto-Chlor System became one of the founding members of the National Standards Foundation (NSF) and remains a contributing member to this day.   In 1952, after years of developing and patenting revolutionary dispensing systems for manual warewashing, Auto-Chlor System began to apply that innovative thinking into the production of dishmachines. In 1954, the first Auto-Chlor System Low Energy dishmachines were introduced to customers.   Many years, patents and satisfied customers later, Auto-Chlor System has become the national leader in the production and installation of Low Energy Dishmachines. We have expanded from dishwashing into Hard Surface Cleaning, Housekeeping, Floorcare and Laundry. Though production and operations have been in the same place for 65 years, the Auto-Chlor System has expanded nationwide to over 70,000 customers and we?re not finished yet.   As we continue to grow and invest in the future, we maintain a commitment to the principles on which our business was founded, the principles which define the Auto-Chlor System.
