My confidential client a well-respected manufacturer located in Los Angeles, California is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Supply Chain Management. The Regional Director of Supply Chain Managment will be responsible for directing all aspects of purchasing, production planning/scheduling, inventory shipping and receiving for multi plant operations in the Western United states.

This position is located in Los Angeles, California

Responsibilities:

  • Global sourcing and initiatives
  • Maintaining MRP/ERP system data
  • Oversee shipping, receiving and planning/scheduling functions
  • Vendor selection and vendor management
  • Initiate strategic plans to create competitive edge to reduce the costs of raw materials
  • Negotiate strategic long-term contracts with aggressive cost reduction targets
  • Responsible for internal logistics.

Requirements

  • BS Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Quality or Industrial Engineering
  • MBA a plus
  • 10+ years experience Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment
  • 5 years experience sourcing
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • Superior negotiating skills required
  • Familiarity with MRP and ISO Systems
  • APICS certification a plus!
