The primary responsibility of the Driver Support Representative (DSR) is to support the driver associates in order to achieve specific customer service and key factor goals. These goals include meeting all customer service pick-up and delivery requirements, achieving equipment performance standards, maintaining an excellent safety record and retaining safe drivers who provide excellent customer service. The DSR is expected to use an open, interactive communication style to reconcile customer and driver needs and meet company performance goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships and open, accurate and timely two-way communications with drivers and internal associates. 2. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures. Makes safety-conscious decisions. 3. Identifies and works with the DBL to resolve potential customer service, cargo claim, maintenance and equipment issues. 4. Makes sound business decisions which are in line with our values and result in a high degree of efficiency (low cost) and effectiveness (high driver and customer satisfaction). 5. Provides on-going feedback and updates to leaders as appropriate. 6. Handles routine payroll settlements questions for driver associates. 7. Provides input to and participates with other associates focusing on a variety of projects. 8. Provides mutual support during absence of other team members during peak times. 9. Accountable for any other job related duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Minimum high school education and customer service and/or operations experience. One year or more of college or business school preferred. 2. Solid judgment and problem-solving skills and a proven record of taking the initiative and responsibility in using those skills effectively, both individually and as a member of a team. 3. Ability to function in a high-stress environment. 4. Ability to work equally well on an individual basis or in a team environment. 5. Computer skills including Windows. 6. Ability to plan and organize activities efficiently. 7. Demonstrated ability to communicate and listen effectively with people of diverse opinions and backgrounds. |
